So I thought after searching through the many themes available on Xbox live that it is such a huge task to find a decent looking free theme. So why not provide the community with a little help by providing a Best Free theme of the month. If you dont agree with me please post a comment or send me a mail as I always welcome suggestions.
So this month’s theme of the month goes to the Sarah Connor Chronicles .
The theme is very clean with crisp clear images that allows each blade to be defined easily. While this is primarily a minimalistic theme that works brilliantly with the white Xbox, this does not mean that it will not look just as stunning on any of they other versions of the Xbox (elite etc). The design centers around a character from the series being centered and the surrounding area blending from white to gray and the fox logo and other text occupying the area just below the image. This is by far one of the most enjoyable free themes I have seen MS release as the amount of branding has been kept to a minimum. Thereby not pushing the user away while still getting enough exposure.
The only slight downsides to the theme is that it could end up being a bit eye sore on very bright monitors due to the amount of white on each of the blades. The other annoyance is that the same image was used for the system blade as well as the live blade.
